Latest News On PPI -PPI Complaints Soar


The Financial Ombudsman Services (FOS), which is in charge of overseeing PPI Claims, has seen a rise in complaints being filed recently.

The amount of claims the FOS has been receiving recently continues to grow larger. The Financial Ombudsman Services has currently been getting approximately 1,000 claims on a weekly basis. Most of the complaints are from consumers who have been rejected on their PPI Claims with their lenders; yet felt they have a viable claim which they should be paid out on.

Consumers are not receiving compensation, since many of them are not aware of the process of filing complaints with the Ombudsman Financial Services office.

When a consumer files a PPI mis-selling claim, the proceeds they can expect typically exceed 2,000 pounds, especially when a single premium has been taken out.

However, not all claims are eligible to be referred to the FOS offices. But, if not eligible, and your claim has been rejected, there are other places to go for assistance.
