What Is The Latest News On PPI? The Banks Lose in Court.

If you have not been following the  PPI news, you may not know everything that went down.

While the issue is still not settled, a higher court upheld a lower courts ruling that the banks sold the claims to people unethically. Sales of payment protection insurance policies were made when a person did not need them. Sometimes the circumstances involved meant that a person would need the protection much sooner than they would have otherwise. A consumer should not make a claim automatically. Not all of the policies were missold. The court decision spells out exactly what a person is entitled to it.

Even though the consumer does not have to file a claim, it is a good idea to do so.

Filing a claim makes sure the banks will review your case and that they will not let the claim sit just because they feel that you did not qualify for revision. The banks, of course, do not want to tell you that you qualify for such claims. It is in their best interest to keep the money they have collected from customers. It is in your best interest to make sure that your case does get reviewed. It may not get reviewed quickly.
